The World of Vlad By Susan Raymond Vlad III ("the Impaler"), ruler of Wallachia (part of present-day Romania) during the 15th century, was the inspiration for Bram Stoker's 1897 novel, "Dracula," which spawned many plays and movies. This ebook is written in a very readable modified screenplay format, and covers the main episodes of depravity from Vlad's life that have survived the centuries, punctuated with episodes of black humor. This is a true horror story, recounting the many incidents of torture and killing that have been attributed to Vlad. In my opinion it's high time for a movie about Vlad, so I was happy to see someone else thinks so too!
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Vlad. By Lisa I loved this book! It was as grotesque as I expected it to be, yet oddly humorous at times. How he can be a hero to some is beyond me. Yep, I'd recommend this story and author.
