By Amazon Customer While I'm known to enjoy a steamy read, I also like to cuddle up with a sweet romance now and again. And I'm so glad I cuddled up with this one.The chemistry between Blake and Maria is wonderful. Maria is haunted by a tragic past that deals with domestic violence and Blake is searching for his birth mother while struggling to live up to the image needed as the son of a governor running for president.Ms. Gray does a wonderful job capturing the emotions that go with these issues while treading lightly so as not to overwhelm the reader.Does Blake find his mother? Does Maria come to terms with her past? Do they finally end up together? You'll have to read THE ROAD HOME to find out.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A must for everyone with an interest/involvment in psychodrama. Breaks new ground By Caril I am excited by this book, for several reasons. Firstly, it incorporates the physiology of the work of psychodrama in a new, comprehensive way that I do not think has been done before. Secondly, the examination of asthma through case studies identifies and challenges the co-dependency between medicine and the pharmaceutical industry. This is done with humility but with the rigour of a scientifically trained medical practitioner using his knowledge, professional experience and rational deduction. Thirdly, there is a memoir aspect to the writing, stepping the reader through the authors thinking, complex medical concepts and procedures described to be understandable for people with no medical or related knowledge. The style is lyrical and entertaining. Read over coffee or tea and one can almost imagine chatting and laughing with the author. It is useful to consider the method Peter has used to reach his conclusions. Peter is at the end of his career. He was trained in the scientific method. He is well used to using facts/known knowledge, critiquing research and the conclusions drawn and distinguish knowledge carefully from suppositions. He brings this to his medical practice, combined with the wisdom of medical staff from yesteryear: Listen to the patient. Additionally he explores the placebo effect and the adjunct effects of medical and pharmacological treatment, such as being attended to, plus kind and loving attention. He combines scientifically known knowledge and logical thinking/discussion to see and name/create a range of hypotheses, which he then tests. I love the discussion of the alveoli sphincters: ‘I … can’t imagine that the body… (has) 800,000 very intricate and complicated sets of muscles and glands, for the sole purpose of making a disease called asthma. It just does not make sense.’ I have never considered how many alveoli I have, yet my life is dependent on the healthy functioning of them for the psychosomatic role of healthy strong vigorous breather! Rigorous use of logical deduction is a strength to Peter’s discussion.I found the theme of adrenal exhaustion/depletion and stimulating the adrenal matrix intriguing. The blood levels of adrenalin in people attending accident and emergency departments has been measured, and most people attending have high levels of adrenalin. However people with asthma unexpectedly have very low levels. The first response to such information is to assume that this is an aspect of the illness to be corrected by medical intervention. However, Peter kept asking important questions and made unexpected links. Specifically that people with asthma may have excellent reasons to have ‘turned off’ their adrenal matrix. During psychodrama enactment, Peter and his trainers identified body responses consistent with adrenal collapse or turnoff, and that with integrative catharsis the adrenal matrix can be stimulated back into action. A stunning example is described on page 169: ‘Pat’s 5’3” being had … been totally regressed to the terrified and wheezing 11 year old… She took an enormous breath.’ It is special that Peter knows what is happening in the body: it takes about 30 seconds for the blood to circulate around the body, so it takes about 30 seconds ‘for her to turn from wheezing, pale and blueish to bright scarlet … and scream HELL NO.’ He sees evidence of the adrenal system being turned on. This woman’s asthma was cured. She now supplied her own adrenalin. This book is so much more than Asthma and wheezing. I would like a sub-title to the book to warm potential readers to the treasure trove of psychodramatic experience and wisdom that Peter shares. Such subtitles could be ‘Development of fierce lion self protecter roles’, or ‘Reactivating the adrenal matrix through psychodramatic evocation of integrative catharsis’! But this would exclude warming up potential readers to the outcome of Peter’s endeavours.Acutely aware of the need to measure effectiveness of psychodrama, Peter has computerised the Family/Whanau/Social Atom. This enables clients to review how their relationships are changing to include more good people in their lives while setting limits and distancing unwanted people. Carefully stepping the reader through the process with many examples, Peter demonstrates graphing a person’s responses to psychodrama sessions and the related role development. Points such as when there is no suicide risk and when the person is ready to be discharged are identified. This section invites a sub-title such as ‘Outcome informed practice in Psychodrama’.This book is an exceptional addition to psychodrama’s body of work. If you are exploring psychosomatic roles you need to read this book. If you are needing to demonstrate the effectiveness of your practice, and you are working individual people or people in group, you will do well to explore the family/whanau/social atom scorer.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. I loved how vulnerable these characters were By Hazel First of all, I loved how vulnerable these characters were. Tessa and Ben were just like real people, not perfect, and with fears and insecurities like all of us. I found that refreshing.Ben showed how our childhoods really do affect our adult life, usually it's women who are portrayed as having 'baggage', but Ben's past had him shackled. Although he was living life and telling himself he was happy within the confines of those invisible shackles, it took his love for Tessa and hers for him to free him from his past. At first I wasn't sure I liked him much, just judging him on the surface but once I got to understand why he acted the way he did, my heart went out to him and I was rooting for him and Tessa to get together.Tessa was understandably reluctant to get involved with Ben when he's transferred to her firm. They'd had a brief fling, parted and she never heard from him again. She knows she is still attracted to him but there are so many reasons why she should squash her growing feelings for Ben - office politics, job competition and the jealous office vamp out to make trouble - just to name a few. Plus the mixed signals from Ben himself, drawing her in and pushing her away at the same time.At least she has the unconditional love of her pet yorkie Milo. Tessa's unreserved love for her pet and Ben's cautious interaction with him mirrored their attitudes towards love.It was a great read with a nice balance between the main story of Tessa and Ben's growing romance interwoven with the relationships with co-workers and the office drama. I was racing towards the end to find out out how Tessa and Ben would overcome their obstacles and work things out so they could be together. I highly recommend this book and author.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Dare to Risk All By Reviews By Crystal Where do I start with this great book? First of all look at that adorable cover! I love books that include pets in the storyline so that grabbed my attention right away. Milo in this story is so CUTE. I think I instantly fell in love with the little fellow.Tessa Caldwell works hard at her job and has a pain in the rear end boss that doesn't fully appreciate her. Tessa is one of those ladies that likes to keep things smooth so she tries not to rock the boat. The more the boss doesn't give her credit the more she tries to do a better job. I really liked Tessa. She is a lovely lady that adores her little doggie Milo by the way.Ben Dunham reappears is a suave handsome fellow that can sell anyone anything. He doesn't believe in love or happy ever after. His childhood was not good and he has terrible memories of the only marriage relationship he has seen. He's a nice guy though and really is very thoughtful and very good at his job.Tessa and Ben didn't expect to see each other again after a chance encounter. However when Ben is hired by Tessa boss they are forced to work together and fight the feelings they have for each other. Oh my goodness the chemistry in that office is strong. I loved watching these two get to know each other better and try to fight the attraction they have for each other. They work well together and have a good time in each other company. I enjoyed watching them form a friendship to add a nice base for their instant attraction. There are plenty of obstacles in their path. Someone is out to tear even their friendship apart. There is some very dramatic moments, some really sweet romantic moments and a few slightly steamy moments. These two both have things they must overcome and get through in order for a relationship to work. They really will have to Risk it all.The other thing I enjoyed was the friendship between Tessa and her co-workers. They stand by each other through some troublesome times.Overall I really enjoyed Dare to Risk All. I really enjoyed the storyline. The characters are fun and charming. They have very interesting personality that made the story a lot of fun to read. I loved that Ms. Holmes included cute little Milo in the story. Milo added an interesting and lovable touch to the story.I enjoyed Joyce Holmes writing style. She has nice way of telling an entertaining story and I would certainly love to read more work by her.I would highly recommend this story to anyone that loves a great romance story. I think you will enjoy it. I know I certainly did.I was given the opportunity to read this great story so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Dare to Risk All.

Review

“This book explains how the differences in melanosome number, size, and aggregation patterns contribute to unique patterns and dermatological treatment considerations in the pediatric population. … The purpose is to provide a concise, well-rounded reference for children with darker skin types. The audience is pediatric dermatologists, dermatologists, pediatricians, and family practitioners.” (Patricia Wong, Doody’s Book Reviews, October, 2015)

I have an interest in mental health and this book is a snapshot of time when mental health wasn't really understood. Nellie Bly went undercover and sought out the truth of what was happening to mental patients at institutions during a time when it was common to send women away for just about anything. The story turns truly horrifying when she arrives at the island. Her determinitation and bravery began a serious look at the treatment of the patients and had outcomes that would be sure that the patients would be treated with dignity and respect.

Woman Goes Under Cover in 19th Century Asylum By Sondra McClendon Ten Days in a Mad-House is the true account of female journalist Nellie Bly as she took on an undercover assignment investigating the inner working of a mental institution in New York in 1887. The fact that Bly took the risk of getting herself committed, knowing that conditions would be grim, says a lot about her bravery and dedication to journalistic integrity.Over the counrse of ten days, Bly (who expressed surprised at how easily she was pronounced insane) experienced the poor conditions of Blackwell's Island alongside her fellow inmates. She soon found that with inedible food, no heat, filthy water, abusive "nurses", and total seclusion it was no wonder the women had gone insane. Bly viewed them with sympathy and felt that many of them were not, in fact, "crazy", but depressed, sick, or victimized.Bly was soon released and shared her finding in The York World. Her time at Blackwell's Island provided fascinating and disturbing insight into the treatment of mentally ill patients and did result in reform. You might think that a book about mental illness and a corrupt system would be hard to get through, but it is a surprisingly quick read. Bly has a very engaging style of writing and the first-person descriptions are engrossing. She was something of an anomaly in her time, but her risks paid off for the future of the mental health field.Bly had this to say when approached by her editor with the idea of going under cover. "I said I would and I could. And I did." Yes she did. Most of us would not have done the same. A great read for those who enjoy investigative journalism or who are interested in learning more about 19th century asylums. To the latter, I must also recommend Seeing the Insane by Sander Gilman.

Another time and Place By Sean Rickert The book provides an insightful perspective into the way that the mentally ill were treated during the latter part of the 19th Century. Nellie's intrusion into this world is nothing short of frightening. What shocks me the most isn't the way the patients are treated, but the ease with which a moderately sane person could find herself taken out of society and placed in a world where madness was the norm. A wonderful short read, and a must for anyone studying late 19th century society (sane or insane).

I don't read much Contemporary mainly because it brings you so close to what can really happen in life, and in so doing can really put at your emotions. Goodbye, Henrietta Street really did that but in such a way that I wanted to keep turning the pages to see how Pippa was going to cope. The entire book was emotional and so real but very well written and had me wondering how she was going to get through everything.Lin Treadgold is able to weave so much into this story, keeps everything completely real and very poignant. The writing is phenomenal. The characters are great. Sven was super hot! You pretty much know what is going to happen but it is the HOW everything happens and then the how everything is pulled together that makes this such a good read.Definitely a plus for any romance lovers out there. Just make sure you're ready for some tears, have the tissues at the ready!

Goodbye Henrietta Street By L `Goodbye Henrietta Street' sat in the list on my phone for quite a while before I got round to reading it and I wish I'd read it sooner. It takes the first few chapters to get absorbed into the novel but after that you won't be able to put it down. Lin has created realistic characters that you grow to love and you find yourself willing Pippa to make the right choices. As well as having an excellent story line and great characters it is also well written. It's unusual to find a book that satisfies all three sections. This is the tale of a couple who lose their son in a terrible accident and the mother's attempt to get her life back on track. A journey of love and heartbreak. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good romantic novel.I received my copy of "Goodbye Henrietta Street" from the author for my honest review.

When I saw the title and the synopsis, it caught my eye. Through reading the story I learned more about life on a small island through the well rounded characters, each with a story to tell. I enjoyed reading Goodbye, Henrietta Street, it captured my imagination through descriptions of the wildlife and scenery. The story of Pippa and her quest for happiness and the good natured Sven who gives her the confidence to move on after a tragedy, is an interesting read. I hope to follow this author in the future. The description of the Isles of Scilly made me want to visit there. I would certainly recommend this book, it was a pleasure to read.

The book starts with a brief history of the discovery of tobacco by Europeans and its introduction into Western world commerce. The middle part describes some gruesome experiments on animals showing that "tobacco oil" is undeniably acutely toxic, but its chronic effects were not investigated. The only observation of potential merit here is that a cat which previously lived in a smoke-filled room may have been more resistant to death by an overdose. The final section is a collection of anecdotes about tobacco users noting their difficulty of quitting the addiction, but describing a considerable improvement in health if they were successful. (In that time, one man considered himself severely overweight at 155 pounds.) The book does not mention tobacco use by women.

A remarkably vivid account of a key moment in Western history: The critical six months in 1940 when Winston Churchill debated whether the British would fight Hitler.London in April, 1940, was a place of great fear and conflict. Everyone was on edge; civilization itself seemed imperiled. The Germans are marching. They have taken Poland, France, Holland, Belgium, and Czechoslovakia. They now menace Britain. Should Britain negotiate with Germany? The members of the War Cabinet bicker, yell, lose their control, and are divided. Churchill, leading the faction to fight, and Lord Halifax, cautioning that prudence is the way to survive, attempt to usurp one another by any means possible. Their country is on the line. And, in Never Surrender, we feel we are alongside these complex and imperfect men, determining the fate of the British Empire. Drawing on the War Cabinet papers, other government documents, private diaries, newspaper accounts, and memoirs, historian John Kelly tells the story of the summer of 1940—the months of the “Supreme Question” of whether or not the British were to surrender. Impressive in scope and attentive to detail, Kelly takes readers from the battlefield to Parliament, to the government ministries, to the British high command, to the desperate Anglo-French conference in Paris and London, to the American embassy in London, and to life with the ordinary Britons. He brings to life one of the most heroic moments of the twentieth century and intimately portrays some of its largest players—Churchill, Lord Halifax, FDR, Joe Kennedy, Hitler, Stalin, and others. Never Surrender is a fabulous, grand narrative of a crucial period in World War II history and the men and women who shaped it.

Never Surrender: Winston Churchill and Britain's Decision to Fight Nazi Germany in the Fateful Summer of 1940, by John Kelly

Review Praise for Never Surrender"WWII scholar John Kelly triumphs again with Never Surrender." (Vanity Fair)“For lovers of minute-by-minute history, [NEVER SURRENDER] is a feast.” (Head Butler)“With his masterly touch at bringing history alive, John Kelly makes his readers feel as though they are in anxious London during the fateful days of 1940. Never Surrender brims with dozens of illuminating scenes accompanying the unforgettable presence of Winston Churchill and his indomitable will.” (David Maraniss, author of Once in a Great City: A Detroit Story)"A glorious book." (Simon Winchester, author of Pacific: Silicon Chips and Surfboards, Coral Reefs and Atom Bombs, Brutal Dictators, Fading Empires, and the Coming Collision of the World's Superpowers)"This is an outstanding, gripping read by a popular historian. It blends colorful biographies, pungent anecdotes and a solid grasp of the great strategic issues that weighed on decision-makers in 1940.' (Geoffrey Wawro, author of A Mad Catastrophe: The Outbreak of World War I and the Collapse of the Habsburg Empire)Kelly's fastidiously researched narrative begins in 1919, when the British were coming to grips with mourning the dead of World War I, and concludes with Britain's heroic stand against the Nazis in the summer of 1940. His description of the major events of the interwar era—the Great Depression, the rise of fascism, and the desperate diplomacy to avoid war in 1939—flows smoothly despite reams of detail. The author successfully balances the big picture with stories of persons who range from Count Ciano, the foreign minister of Italy to a British soldier waiting to be evacuated from Dunkirk. (Library Journal)“An intense and often surprising account of what it was like for the leaders, soldiers and citizens of Britain…[John Kelly] brings the Fateful Summer alive in all its fear and trembling.” (Bookreporter)"Impressive in scope but attentive to detail...Never Surrender is a character-driven narrative of a crucial period in World War II history and the men and women who shaped it." (WW2 Podcast)

About the Author John Kelly specializes in narrative history. He is the author of The Graves Are Walking: The Great Famine and the Saga of the Irish People; The Great Mortality: An Intimate History of the Black Death; The Most Devastating Plague of all Time; Three on the Edge; and more. Kelly lives in New York City and Sandisfield, Massachusetts.

Never Surrender By S Riaz Subtitled, “Winston Churchill and Britain’s Decision to fight Nazi Germany in the fateful summer of 1940,” this book examines the early months of WWII from the perspective of Britain, although the fate of France also features highly. In some ways, this excellent book reminded me of others I have read about the early days of the war and, in particular, the fall of the Chamberlain government; such as, “Troublesome Young Men” by Lynne Olson or “Minsters at War,” by Jonathan Schneer. However, this is a more general look at the beginning of the war and would be a good place to start if you had little knowledge of the time period, as well as appealing to those who have read several books on the subject. It begins with the uneasy peace after WWI, with the Treaty of Versailles, before leading on to the outbreak of the Second World War. As the author points out, WWI really broke out suddenly, from the point of view of the public’s perception, whereas the Second World War began slowly, with a much longer build up to hostilities and hopes of avoiding confrontation. Indeed, even up to the time that war was declared, there were still attempts at appeasement and sheer hopefulness that it would not happen. The winter of 1939/40 was severe and that was also the period that encompassed the ‘phoney war’, when England was at war with Germany, but little seemed to be happening to affect those at home. However, with the Spring of 1940, ‘campaign season’ in Europe saw events changing dramatically. This book encompasses both high level politics and the war diaries of people as diverse as William Shirer, Harold Nicolson and crime writer Margery Allingham, to help explain how people really felt about the encroaching conflict. There is dissatisfaction with Chamberlain’s government and Churchill brought in as the new Prime Minister (the Lynne Olson book is particularly interesting if you are interested in this), who brought a completely new attitude to the war. Churchill and his representatives shuttled back and forth across the Channel to help strengthen French resolve, and buy England more time, while the French politicians bickered and German morale was at a peak as they were untroubled by any real opposition. There was no denying that the French had a ‘1918’ army fighting a 1939 German fighting machine and that England, like the French, were also woefully underprepared for war. With Kennedy, the American Ambassador in England, anticipating an English defeat and Halifax suggesting the choices available were either invasion or a compromise to achieve peace, the Cabinet seemed willing to negotiate a settlement with Germany. If France and Belgium capitulated, could England really stand alone? Only Churchill argued that peace and security were not enough and that, “we must ensure our complete liberty and independence.” This, then, is the story of the political attempts to broker peace, encompassing not only America and England, but France and Italy. Indeed, Mussolini was, “the ghost at the table,” determined to go to war despite attempts to use Italy as a pathway to talks with Germany.Hitler expected the British to seek terms and had one eye on the East, despite ordering Goering to, “wipe” the RAF from the sky within a week. With Dunkirk, the threat of invasion seemed a matter of “when” and not “if.” The war was, literally, on the doorstep of Britain and undoubtedly, people were fearful of what lay ahead. With invasion seeming a certainty, could it be resisted? This book leads us to the fateful summer of 1940, with the Battle of Britain and Churchill’s stirring speeches, which made the people of England feel like”participants in the war.” This is an enjoyable, easy read, with plenty of personal touches to make this feel really relevant and not dry; yet with a real depth to it. I found this an excellent and highly enjoyable book and recommend it highly. Lastly, I received a copy of this book from the publisher, via NetGalley, for review.

By Travel Imaginator Congratulations to John Kelly for writing NEVER SURRENDER, WINSTON CHURCHILL AND BRITAIN'S DECISION TO FIGHT NAZI GERMANY IN THE FATEFUL SUMMER OF 1940. This is a masterful account of a bewildering time when the bright, but flawed leaders of Britain and France (and I give Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain credit for seriously attempting to alleviate Britain's economic troubles during the Depression). They earnestly thought they were doing the best for their respective countries in a soon to become catastrophic situation. Yes, I was aware Britain and much of the rest of the world had blinders on, never thinking the horrors of the first world war could actually repeat themselves from pre-Munich, after Munich, and well into the "phony war" of 1939-40. It really surprised me that even after the invasions of Norway, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, and France that a negotiated settlement with Germany as late as very late May was a possibility. (Though, the near-miss disaster of Dunkirk figures prominently in the story). It is noteworthy the protagonist, Winston Churchill, does not make a full-blown appearance into some 40% of the narrative. Churchill had this confounding way of rubbing his fellow colleagues with exasperation. Kelly points out colleagues would reply in frustration: for every good idea of Winston's, there are two bad ones. So many of the "players" are not what they seem. Be it Lord Halifax, Neville Chamberlain, French leaders Eduard Daladier and Paul Reynaud---invariably their outward appearances masked attributes and qualities far removed "Civilians" living during this time render their perspectives which adds dimension to the story. I am re-reading the book, (I also have a Kindle edition) as I need to re-catch the historic narrative properly as is the necessary (but by no means blinding) sense of detail. I actually had some sense of sympathy for Daladier and Reynaud--as their immediate futures found them in Nazi concentration camps. And there is at least a vixen in the story's mix, Reynaud's mistress, the Comtesse Helene de Portes, actually a fascist sympathizer--"with the social ambitions of a Hapsburg duchess"---biting but appropriate humor humor. I wish this book, every possible success and proper recognition. I think it contributes greatly to the ongoing and never quite finished saga and analysis of the Second World War.

Another Brilliant Read by John Kelly By davidmarks I’ve been waiting for this one for months, and frankly, it was worth it.Never Surrender is yet another brilliant and masterful job by John Kelly, who, it must be noted, has never failed to grip me with his illustrative and generous prose and insights. This is the rare genius of an author/historian who, quite literally, brings to life one of the greatest men of the twentieth century. This is the unique and unequaled promise of Mr. Kelly, whose understanding of history is vast, and who can sift through the complexities of our past, and cast light on extraordinary moments in time, making them as real today, as they were when they occurred. This is the genius of a writer who can take us to yesterday, to a time where our very humanity was in peril, and show us how one man was able to transform the world, and change the course of global events.I am utterly thrilled to own this historical masterpiece, and I will proudly recommend it to lovers of history, to students everywhere, to those who wish to learn more about the power and grace of Churchill, and to those who simply yearn for great writing. This is a classic borne of yesterday, written for today, and no bookshelf will be complete without it. What a giant of a read!

"With some dogs you share a boil in the bag breakfast and maybe a blanket on a cold desert floor. Some you wouldn't leave in charge of your Grandma unless you wanted to find out just how fast the old girl could run. But, if you're very, very lucky there will be the one dog you would lay down your life for – and for me that dog is Buster."

Buster, an English springer spaniel who has served his comrades and his country with unstinting devotion, has saved thousands of lives. This is the story of his partnership with RAF Police Sergeant Will Barrow, told by Will himself, describing how each came to save the other's life. It is a relationship that produced some heroic feats―including sniffing out explosive vests that led to the arrests of two suicide bombers―in the dust and desert heat of Afghanistan and beyond. Buster, uniquely, has served five tours of duty in three theatres of war (Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan)―more than any other military dog. He also won the prestigious Crufts Friends for Life Award in 2012, and has gone on to become the official lifetime mascot of the RAF Police, the only dog in history to have been honored in that manner. A best friend in dog's clothing, an RAF dog with his mossy feet firmly on the ground, Buster is truly a dog in a million.

Buster is one of many dogs that are serving in the military and this is his story of his journey throughout the war and how he served 5 tours of duty in three different countries (Bosnia, Iraq & Afghanistan) and how he became the official mascot of the RAF Police. This is a fast paced book but it's great in the sense that it brings light to all the dogs that served in the armed forces that you never really hear about. I believe all dogs like Buster should have the highest honor for their service just because of the fact that one dog can save countless soldiers and they don't get the recognition they deserve.Thank You to Will Barrow for serving in the RAF and for telling yours and Buster's story!I received this book from the Goodreads Giveaways in exchange for a honest review.

They travel on several active war tours in Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan. Buster actually served five tours although not all were with Will. Although Will and Buster face danger in many different search scenarios, there is no real gore shared. The story is told by Will, giving descriptions of their bases and desert dwellings and providing wonderful images of Buster’s friendly personality. The book makes it clear that Buster, and dogs like him, help provide strength and courage to their partners and to other troop members who are grateful to know the skills and talents the dogs bring to the arena. We often think of military or search dogs as German Shepherds or maybe Labradors. But Buster is a springer spaniel search dog. I love how the author portrays Buster’s human-like emotions and expressions. He reflects friendliness, sarcasm and stubbornness to name just a few. Buster sounds like a dog you would love to give a big hug to. I recommend this to readers who like dogs and those interested in how a military dog works in his search modes.Audio Notes: James Langton does a nice job with the narration. The accent fits the author and provides an easy and direct presentation.I received the audiobook through Audiobook Jukebox for an honest review.

Nicely written by a RAF Police Flight Sergeant and Buster, the dog who became much more than just a military partner to him. Buster went on to win many awards from his duties in Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Together with Will they were an impressive team.

However, I am so glad I found these books, and I want to say, they aren't just for children! Gustav Klimt painted some great paintings, some I loved, some I was ambivalent toward, but still appreciated they were well executed paintings. As for the person complaining they could not see them, I would advise he/she open them in the Kindle app for their OS, and view them on their computer. Makes a world of difference in your ability to see them. My favorite is Malcesine on Lake Garda, 1913, and next fav is Church in Cassone. Every homeschooling mother/father should be grabbing up all the books from this series of painters, to use to educate their children!Cesar, Stanley (2014-07-27). My Virtual Reality Trip to the Louvre, Paris Part 8 of 12 By Don Kidwell Germanic Paintings 18th/19th Centuries : Moving on from Dutch painters like Vermeer we took 3 lefts until we found our first Klimt painting. It was real interesting to see the diversity in his paintings from the portrait "Sonja Knips" to "Garden Path with Chicken" which made the kids laugh. All right, already, let's see some French artists like Monet next given we are in the Louvre. And if you care to begin at the start of our pretend trip please go back to da Vinci if you like.

This collection of 24 paintings of this artist will be great for artist studies in homeschool and I plan to use it for that purpose. I especially love that Stanley Cesar included The Garden Path with Chickens, Beech Forest, and Malcesine at Lake Garda. Stunning paintings and we love how they are made available in this collection for use in teaching children appreciation of great art.

All in all an interesting intro into these mystical topics By kate ash I came into this topic just out of intrerest really, I'n not necessarily into New Age philosophies but neither am a sceptic when it comes to things of a spiritual realm. I found the crystal book to contain good info for an interested reader. It covered aspects like the seven different chakras (throat chakra, head chakra etc) and then covered use of crystals themselves utilising visualising and envisioning aspects of healing etc.The Reiki book again gives you a good intro into what rei-ki is (japanese origins etc) then covers hand positions and various other approached to 'self healing'All in all an interesting intro into these mystical topics.

Excellent book on crystal healings and reiki. There is alot in this box set.I like the way the author has combined to 2 topics which are seperate but at the heart are connected. The first book examines the importance of crystals and what they can do for us.The second book is all about reiiki.Healing oneself with reiki is very powerful.I really got alot out of both of these books and can highly recommend this box set.Its clear the author has a love for both of these disciplines and brings that to the writing.Highly recommend this box set!

By John Marcus Daniels A friend of mine keeps talking about crystal healing and reiki despite knowing that i do not knowing anything at all about it so I've decided to buy this book bundle to help me understand. I've managed to learn what Reiki and crystal healing is, what you can do with it and a lot more. I am impressed by how amazing these are and will definitely look even more into them.
