A general review of archaeolgical theory By A Customer This book is an excellent overview of archaeolgical theory, created for the archaeolgy student or person with astute interest in the subject. A guidline of how thought processes have evolved over the years and where the disipline of archaeology sits today. Before one can work in the field a knowledge of why they are doing so must first be examined, and the differing views that exist are unbiasedly exposed to the reader. The author's expertise in old world archaeolgy is obvious, but the reasoning is global in scope. With a focus on the classification and measurement of time, and social, economic, and cognitive archaeology this book challenges readers to grasp a broad knowledge of the theories that permeate throughout the study of theoretical archaeology
