It's Okay By zombie phreak Well there's not much I can say about this that I haven't said about other "Survival Guides" that are set in the Zombie Apocalypse. It's got all the basics in there, shelter, food, weapons, transportation, etc. It's no "Zombie Survival Guide," by Max Brooks, but it's entertaining to read.There's nothing that really makes it stand out, and the information inside of it is mostly common sense that anyone who has watched any zombie movies or read any zombie books would know. There are also a bunch of grammar mistakes in there, like a word missing here and there or a mix up in the sentence structure and that's a little annoying. One last thing I wanted to address about this book was that the cover was really awesome and it really grabs your attention when you're scrolling through the titles on Amazon.If you have some time, it's worth reading. Check it out.

But who knows, desires to fly and talk on wireless phone were imaginations some hundreds of years back and now they are real. A well written book protecting from zombies, making a house base, ensuring adequate supply of food and water. Keeping pets, children and elders safe. Fighting in case it is needed. Choosing partners, seeking help from other people and moving out. Five stars to the imagination and the strategies proposed , a unique concept !

By Tyler Very fun book!Anytime I hear people talk about surviving the zombie apocalypse I get a good laugh.However, if it does happen fortunately I have this book to guide me along the way.I should also add this book has abundance of real survival scenarios and directions that actually can help a person with basic survival needs.Fun read, definitely recommend.Also, its a good length of a book, not too short, not too long.

By Brian's Mom When I knew that she was going to write about Kelly's mom, Stella and hook her up with Ivan, I was thrilled. An older couple with some sexual issues that many women face when they hit a certain age. Ms. McGier handled it very well and now I can't get the smell of cinnamon out of my head. ;) Ivan was a patient man but also a passionate lover. I loved how Ms. McGier tied in their past as agents to the present. Oh and the suspense element in the book was spot on. It's not a romantic suspense book but considering that Stella is ex-CIA and Ivan's ex-KGB, it plays well with their lives now.There are many secondary characters in the book but they are not intrusive at all. Kelly is such a great character and its great to see Raul *heavy sigh* and Veronica again. Kelly and Stella have some important scenes in the book that are not to be missed. You understand the depth of Stella's decision and ultimately, Kelly's forgiveness for her not being around when she was growing up. Oh course, I would have liked a bit of closure about her son but that's for another time. Maybe when Kelly's books comes out. Oh yes, I'm in the KNOW. LOL!I have another admission: I've read all three Minnesota romance books and this one is by far the best in terms of depth, voice and plot. Raul will also be my favorite hero of hers but there is something about Stella that just hits every button with me. She's strong, vulnerable when it comes to her children and just all around a bad**s. Plus, admitting that you have some issues of the sexual kind are not an easy topic to share but she does and Ivan completely understands. The bedroom scenes are nicely done and provocative. Ms. McGier writes erotic scenes but they are not graphic in nature but sensual.I don't think I'll ever look at Tai Chi the same way ever again. LOL! In this book, its just foreplay that is also done well. Its nice to see an older be playful and flirt with each other knowing they want each other. Patience is a virtual but with these two its a lesson that they learn.If you are looking for a very well written, sexy story about an older couple than look no further. Its not a "cougar" or "sugar daddy" story. Just a story that starts 25 years ago that ends with two people that fall in love despite that fact that someone is trying to kill one of them.Bravo!*I received this from the author for my honest opinion. I love the way the relationship developes between Kelly and her mother Stella and then the intrigue gets added in due to Stella's past. On top of that a bit of romance is added.

My Virtual Reality Trip to the Louvre, Paris Part 6 of 12 By Don Kidwell 17th Century Netherlands : Hokusai was a real treat as was Rembrandt once we found it. After taking a left, a quick right and another left past earlier Dutch artists we finally arrived at our first Rembrandt. My daughter Kristy loved "The Girl in a Picture Frame" since it looked so much like her. I enjoyed "Jacob Blessing the sons of Joseph" and most particularly "The Night Watch" for it's startling realism. All right,so who's up for some Vermeer? And if you're wanting to join us from the beginning please page back to da Vinci if you like.

The paintings are all the same for the same painter he just changes the cover to make it seem like it's a new book with different pictures but all the pictures are the same... He only changes the cover. So don't buy all the books for the same painter because the photos inside are all the same regardless of the cover.

I have found an interesting fact that people with Asperger syndrome can become remarkably intelligent, but it's unfortunate that Asperger syndrome is a lifelong condition. Reading this book I have learned that there are steps and strategies you can take to help a person with this syndrome. This book also helped me understand better of what Asperger is, it gives a good source of information for someone who wants to learn more about it.

Very helpful information By Amy Asperger's is a hard disease to understand, similar to autism, but this book will give you all of the information you need to not only understand Asperger's but to help if you know someone with Asperger's. With dedicated chapters on treatment options, diagnosis, and what to expect at different stages of life, this book really has all of the helpful information you need. I would highly recommend this book.

Reflections of a Police Psychologist is an account of the experiences, thoughts, and observations of a seasoned police veteran. It is written for police officers and those who would like a glimpse into the world of policing from the perspective of a former police officer and current police psychologist. Dr. Digliani discusses the major challenges facing those first entering police work. He addresses police field training and identifies the ten police field training pitfalls. The PATROL program, developed to assist new officers, is outlined. It involves an orientation and phase meetings between new officers and the staff psychologist to support them throughout field training. Dr. Digliani discusses how stress management becomes life management within the concepts of life-by-design and life-by-default. Inside the parameters of life management, a list of Some Things to Remember functions as an instrument for transactional change. The issues related to traumatic stress and exposure are discussed. The insights presented originate out of years of treating officers exposed to traumatic events. The role of police peer support teams is examined. Models for a peer support team policy and operational guidelines are presented. There is also information relating to the confidentiality of peer support interactions, a topic of current controversy. Traumatic incident debriefings and their applications in policing are elucidated, along with phase and freeze-frame models of debriefing. Included is a discussion of the current efficacy research pertinent to traumatic incident debriefings. Police family issues and the Foundation Building Blocks of Functional Relationships are outlined. Various family patterns of interaction are identified, including information for families of traumatized officers. There is a discussion of coping with death and loss, a critical area for police officers. An exposition of mental illness and interacting with the mentally ill from a police perspective is presented. Toward the end of the book, the retirement transition is discussed. In retirement or separation from service, officers return to the civilian world. Some experience difficulty with this transition. Issues to consider before retirement are presented. The final chapter includes the general reflections and policing history of Dr. Digliani. These reflections include the insights that come only with years of policing experience in several police assignments, including that of staff psychologist. This is an excellent book for anyone interested in law enforcement, policing, and police psychology.

About the Author Dr. Digliani is a psychologist and a former deputy sheriff, police officer, and detective. He served as staff psychologist of the Fort Collins Police Services for the last 11 years of his police career. He was awarded the FCPS Medal of Merit for his work in police psychology. He is the current staff psychologist and peer support team clinical supervisor for the Loveland Police Department and Larimer County Sheriff's Office. Dr. Digliani is the author of Stress Inoculation: the Police, Stressor Intervention Program, Police Peer Support Team Training, and P.A.T.R.O.L., a program designed to support police officers in training.

On a conscious level of mind they are not aware of how they have been hypnotized. They have no conscious awareness of the fact that they are in a persistent hypnotic state. Elder This well written book is useful for a wide range of people other than those who have endured traumatic mind control programming while young. Those with post traumatic stress disorder would benefit from the therapy methods in the book. People who've had ordinary child abuse as children would benefit from the therapeutic methods in this book. The psychiatrists who devised these healing methods were unfortunately killed by agents of the Illuminati before they could train the author in their most advanced methods which probably included meditation. The author got into that on his own. The author is very courageous to write this book since the cabal of super rich bankster/industrialist overlords don't want their dark practices exposed. Evil triumphs because of good people ignoring it. I would add that the use of insight mindfulness meditation, vipassana would be very useful for these same issues of psychological trauma. Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of MBSR (mindfulness-based stress reduction) methods are used in medical clinics around the world for people with chronic pain, depression, anxiety, etc. These mindfulness methods have strong supported by scientific and medical research. There are various styles of insight mindfulness meditation available at secular centers and Buddhist meditation centers around the world. This book is important for those researching the root causes of the economic and political chaos in the world now.

In regards to other people's reviews... this is NOT meant to be a replacement for the textbook. It is difficult to read by itself but if you read the actual textbook and follow along with the laboratory manual, it makes perfect sense! And the answers are available on Evolve's website. Just follow the instructions on the inside flap of the manual. I highly recommend this laboratory manual to help with retaining the information in the actual textbook. It may be redundant a bit, but redundancy has been shown to help with cognitive memory.***EDIT 3/28/16***After contacting Evolve Customer Support, I have been informed that the answers to the Lab Manual's exercises are only available in the Instructor's resources. The answers that you can access are for the Test Yourself Questions in the textbook, not the lab manual. I still highly recommend this lab manual because it does help reiterate things for me. The plane was on an espionage mission...The activity…[was] under the aegis of the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States, for whom all members of the subcommittee have the highest regard and in whose military capacity they have the utmost confidence.” – Clarence Cannon, House Appropriations Chair In September 1959, Nikita Khrushchev became the first Soviet leader to visit the United States, and for 13 days, he toured the country, fueling a media frenzy. Landing at Washington D.C. with his wife Nina Petrovna and his adult children, he proceeded to visit New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Iowa, Pittsburgh, and Washington. The end of the trip included a meeting with President Eisenhower at Camp David, where the two leaders agreed to hold a four-power summit about Berlin to settle the issues on the city. Khrushchev left the U.S. considering his visit a success, believing he had developed a strong relationship with Eisenhower, and though the latter did not exactly feel the same way, the president was scheduled to visit Moscow in 1960. It was a visit that was to not to take place, because on May 1, 1960, Soviet surface-to-air missiles shot down a U-2 spy plane piloted by Francis Gary Powers. The flights, which had long angered the Soviets, had been resumed after a long halt, but Khrushchev held off announcing the shoot down until May 5, worried that the incident would jeopardize the 4 power summit scheduled for May 15. When the announcement was made, Khrushchev tried to blame the American overflights on rogue elements in the U.S. military, attempting to deflect possible blame from Eisenhower, but the president admitted that the flights had occurred and that he had ordered them. This put Khrushchev in a very difficult position with the summit approaching. The subsequent summit in Paris was a disaster for both sides as they tried to save face. When Khrushchev arrived, he demanded an apology from Eisenhower and a promise of no more U-2 overflights. He got no apology, but Eisenhower had already suspended the flights and offered his Open Skies proposal for mutual overflight rights. Khrushchev refused and left the summit, and Eisenhower’s visit to the Soviet Union was cancelled. The collapse of the summit ended Khrushchev’s soft approach to the West. In his September 1960 visit to the U.N. General Assembly, he showed his hard approach; rather than trying to charm the West, he began the Soviet Union’s wooing of Third World countries in an effort to bring them into the Soviet orbit. As for Francis Gary Powers, he would spend almost 2 years in prison in the Soviet Union, and when he was returned in a swap of spies, he was vilified for being taken alive and letting the Soviets capture the U-2 spy plane. He would go on to receive a number of awards, but most of them were posthumous because he died in a helicopter crash in 1977. To this day, the shooting down of Powers’ plane remains one of the most famous events of the Cold War. High Tech Spy Adventure Turned Into High Stakes Gamble by Eisenhower and Kruschev By Bill Anderson Length: 64 pages.I can't honestly say that I remember this incident, for, at eight years of age I was more likely to remember how many hits Duke Snider got that day than about some confrontation between two old guys.That's what makes this an interesting topic during the current Presidential campaign. Who, if any, among the current crop of hopefuls could stand toe-to-toe with Vladimyr Putin and tell such a bald-faced lie as Ike told Nikita Kruschev?This is a good, easy, quick read that should help one gain a more pragmatic view of international diplomacy.I also came to better appreciate the human being whom we know as Gary Powers.But, perhaps, the more interesting aspect was the development of the U-2 itself. Oh, and the panoramic photos it was shooting from 60,000 feet that were of such resolution that one could discern the feed troughs for cattle. Nowadays these may seem blasé, but 55 years ago it was stunning, cutting edge high tech.I didn't note any editing issues in this booklet. And the writing style was efficient and smooth enough that I trad it in one sitting, sort of. Started reading during Scorpion, and finished it while taking a bath jduring the 10:00 PM news.

They usually produce a very good account of the subject, with a good selection of sources and some photos, images or maps. I read one of their books on a subject I had read a lot about before, and being very satisfied with that one, I took it as a standard.Their books are not to be expected as complete, comprehensive works, but lean more toward a good overall short account. Choose one if the subject is new to you or you want a good overview. They appeal to me as good introductions, or if I have no intention of reading long works on a specific theme. That said, I like them and think they're very effective in providing good information as well as a good read.This is an interesting brief history of the whole U-2 affair. I decided to read just after going to the movies for "Bridge of Spies". The movie is more on the negotiations for the prisoners exchange, this book goes for the plane and espionage project, Gary Powers history and details on his trial at the USSR. They are complementary. It will appeal to aviation buffs, to those interested in diplomacy, politics and history of the Cold War period.Interesting points were transcriptions of authorities' statements from both sides and photographs of the exhibition of the plane remnants and Powers' belongings.
